In August, 1988, Platte City attorneys R. Michael McGinness and Robert H. Shaw formed the law firm of McGinness & Shaw, L.L.C. The firm has concentrated its efforts in the areas of local government law, real estate law, business law, and estate planning and probate law. The firm's clients include Platte County, Missouri, the Platte County Regional Sewer District and the Riverside-Quindaro Bend Levee District, along with several other Platte County political subdivisions. In addition, the firm represents business entities such as Wells Bank of Platte City and Martin Investments. The firm has a long history of community participation and leadership.
